General Information About Low Myopia Treatment

Near-sightedness, also known as Low Myopia or Short-sighted, is a vision defect caused by the shape and length of the eye. Near-sighted people can see close objects clearly and distant objects appear out of focus. Normally, an image is focused on the retina. The retina is the back part of the eye. With myopic eyes, the image is focused in front (or short) of the retina and causes blurry vision.

This commonly happens when:
  • The eyeball is too long.
  • The focusing lens is too strong

At Holistic Eye Center we offer two ways to manage myopia.
  • We offer RevitalVision which is a vision improvement program designed to enhance visual processing and perception skills, often used to help individuals with conditions of visual impairments. It includes a series of customized exercises and training modules to optimize the brain's ability to interpret visual information, potentially leading to improved vision.

  • Another way to treat mypia is through NaturalVue® Contact Lenses which is a specialized type of contact lens designed to address common vision problems like nearsightedness and astigmatism. They are known for their innovative Neurofocus Optics technology, which aims to improve visual clarity by correcting higher-order aberrations, offering a potential alternative for individuals seeking comfortable and enhanced vision correction.

Low Myopia Treatment

RevitalVision is clinically proven to improve vision in low myopia, enabling to reduce, or eliminate the need to use glasses.

Improvements include:
  • Read subtitles on TV
  • Read signs in the street
  • Recognize faces from a distance
  • Drive without glasses * (depending on your VA improvement)

NaturalVue® Contact Lenses for Myopia Management
Myopia, (near sightedness - distance objects appear blurry, near objects appear clear) has been increasing in prevalence throughout the world over the last 30 years, with incidence at younger and younger ages, leading to increased levels of high myopia. It is generally agreed, and well supported in the literature, that myopia progression can be effectively slowed with multifocal contact lenses

Experience The Lens That Runs On Brainpower
NaturalVue® Multifocal 1 Day Contact Lenses feature innovative Neurofocus Optics®. This advanced technology works naturally with the brain to automatically focus your eyes for clear vision near, far and in between. You get exceptional vision with little compromise.

In a retrospective case series, subjects were fit with an extended depth of focus (center distance) multifocal soft contact lens, NaturalVue Multifocal 1 Day Contact Lenses by Visioneering Technologies Inc.

Researchers believe that the significant reduction of myopic progression was due to the higher amount of plus in the periphery associated with the extended depth of focus optics in the lens design.

Approximately 98.4% of the children showed reduction of annualized myopic progression, and 91% showed a decrease of 70% or greater, researchers wrote. More than 80% showed complete halting of myopic progression, including 6.25% demonstrating myopic regression.
